Eligibility

<1>Full Marathon
Eligible runners must be 18 years old of age or older as of race day and complete the race with the set time limit.
<2>10km Marathon
Eligible runners must be born on or before April 1st 2002 and complete the race with the set time limit.

Time Limit

The time limit is from the sound of the starting gun.

Race Regulations

This race event will take place under the FY2017 official regulations of “Japan Association of Athletics Federations” and the official agreements of the Race Organizer.

Final Decision of the Event

The race organizer will have Start Time Information by answering service on early morning in the race day.

Guide for Optically Inconvenienced Runners

1. It is necessary to register at the race entry.
2. The guide runners need to check in at the Check-in counter with you.
3. The guide runners will receive 2 bibs, 8 pins as well as a plastic bag and baggage tag for own baggage drop off.
4. Please be sure to attach 2 bibs on chest and back.

5. The runner can request two guide runners, but run with only one guide runner at one time.
6. The runner can change guide runners at 3 points (10km, 20km and 30km).
<2>10km Marathon
7. The runner can request one guide runner.

Baggage Drop Off

Valuables are not the responsibility of the race organizers. You alone are responsible for your valuables. It is advised to not place any valuables in the baggage you check in.
Race Organizers will collect all baggage at the starting area and transport it to the finishing area for the full marathon runners or keep it at the starting area for the 10km marathon runners.
Only one bag is permitted per runner.

Baggage Pick Up

Things to Bring: Bib Number Card.

Places: the finishing area at Baggage Pick Up tents.

Special Drinks (JAAF Registered Runners Only)

1. It is necessary to register at the race entry.
2. Drop Off time: Between 8:00 am-9:30 am. <please be punctual>
3. Place: Hamada Park, at the tent for special drinks in the starting area.
4. Size of Drink: height 28 cm, diameter or diagonal 7.2 cm (including the size of an attachment like a lid or straw). Oversized containers will not be accepted.
5. Setup: There are 4 special drinks tables setup approximately every 5 km from the 20km point.

Running Instructions

1. The full marathon will start at 10:30 am and the 10km marathon will start at exactly 10:25 am.
2. Please line up in the order of your bib number as indicated between 10:00 am-10:15 am.
Early arrivals please line up at the front of your area.
3. If you arrive after the above lining up time, you will be instructed to line up at very back.
After the race has started, it is strictly prohibited to join at any point or time.

Aid Stations

There are 7 Aid Stations with sports drinks and water provided for runners at approximately 5 km intervals from the 10km point. Bananas will also be provided at the 25.2 km and 35.7 km aid stations.

Portable Toilets

1. Portable toilets will be provided near each check point and at places indicated by a signboard along the route. You are advised to use a toilet before the start.
2. If you have to use the restroom during the race, please indicate by raising your hand to a race official along the route.

Distance Signboards

There are distance signboards every 1 km along the race route from start to finish as well as at the halfway point (21.0975Km). Five kilometers before the finish line, there are signboards indicating the remaining distance every 1 km.

Assistance Restrictions

1. No runner is permitted to have any outside assistance on the race course.
2. Runners may be ordered to withdraw if race officials determine that assistance has been provided from anyone along the race.

*Runners will not be permitted to run anymore after the above time. Please follow the directions of race officials.
*Izumisano-Iwade Prefecture Road will be open for public traffic as soon as possible after 3:30 pm.
Even if you pass the 39.4 km point within the required time, please follow the directions of race officials.

Pick Up Bus Information

1. Runners who fail to reach the above designated check points at the specified times will be asked by race officials to stop running and to board an official bus. These runners will be taken to the finish area at Rinku Park.

Finisher Towel

A finisher towel will be presented to finisher who complete the race within the time limit (Gross time)

Awards

<1>Full Marathon
・Place : Rinku Park
*For the Top3 Runners
The Awards ceremony for the top 1-3 runners will take place at the event area in the finish venue.
Awards will be given to:
The top 3 male and female runners at the 3 categories (General, JAAF members, Non-JAAF members)
*For the 4-8th place Runners
The 4-8th runners will be given a certificate and a plaque at the tent beside the event stage. (JAAF members, Non-JAAF members)
*For the Age Bracket
After the Race, we will disclose the top 3 male and female at intervals of 10 ages. (Under 29, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s or over) on our official homepage and send each color medal.
<2>10km Marathon
・Place : Hamadera Park
*For the Top3 Runners
The Awards ceremony for the top 1-3 runners will take place at Hamadera Park.
Awards will be given to:
The top 3 male and female runners.
*For the 4-8th place Runners
The 4-8th runners will be given a certificate at the race official tent.

Race Results

Official race results for all finishers will be published on the race’s official website at
(http://www.senshu-marathon.jp/).
Each age group’s first, second, third place runners
(until 29, 30s, 40s, 50s, over 60) will also be uploaded
approximately one week after race completion.
These winners will be sent a medal

Race Certificate

<1>Full Marathon
All finishers who complete the marathon within the time limit of 5 hours will be able to get the official certificate result through JTB sport station’s Homepage after the race.
<2>10km Marathon
All finishers who complete the 10km marathon within the time limit of 1 hour will be given the official certificate result at the race day in Hamadera Park.

Volunteer Interpreters

Volunteer interpreters with a blue bib for foreign visitors are ready at Information counter in the start and finish areas at Hamadera Park and Rinku Park as well as each check point along the route. If you have any questions on race day, please feel free to ask any volunteer interpreter.

Medical Service

1. If you are not feeling well and wish to withdraw from the race even before the start, please inform your withdrawal to the Race Head Office as soon as possible.
2. If you decide to withdraw from the race on the course, cross your arms as a sign of withdrawal
and inform race officials along the course.
3. If you become injured or have an accident during the race, race organizers will provide first aid
treatment only. Runners are responsible for any further treatment that may be required.

Costumes

This is considered an “official race” so no costumes of any kind will be permitted.
